Chuck was born on September 7, 1948 in Montour Falls, NY, the son of Maurice and Grace Doane. Over the years, he enjoyed events with the 4-Wheel Drive Club, attending NHRA drag racing events, and riding the many Harley-Davidson motorcycles he owned throughout his life. In addition to being a member of the Odessa Conservation Club and pistol team, Don was a member of the Bath pistol team, American Legion Post 676, the National Warplane Museum/Wings of Eagles Discovery Center, and several RC airplane flying clubs. She and George were longtime foster parents; they cared for over 60 children through the years and gave them better lives through all the support and love they could.
